Love Hurts

Let's face it- injuries suck. If you love running, there's a chance that you already know that. Statistically, we know that anywhere from 30-65% of all runners will experience an injury this year. Somewhere between a nagging pain to a visit to the orthopedic surgeon. A recent study showed that there were 17.8 injuries for every 1000 hours of running. As the popular internet meme so adequately put it: "Aint nobody got time for that." 

 

There are 2 big contributors to these injuries. The first is that almost no one has a movement screening done before he or she becomes a runner. That means that any muscle imbalances or joint issues are made worse with every step. The second is that unless you're an elite athlete, no one helps you recover from injury AFTER you've had your short time with a physical therapist. Sure, you can get up a flight of stairs by then, or go back to work, but what about running? So typically that injury becomes a part of your life forever. Bummer. 

 

My name is Ren Jones, you can read a bit more about me here, and I'm here to break you out of that cycle. As a personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist, I've trained tons of people over the last few years. Some of whom were avid runners. Over the course of the first few months together, my running clients started to notice something. The nagging injuries they had became less and less noticeable.  As a bonus, the miles became more and more enjoyable. So I started soliciting guinea pigs (they preferred to be called beta testers) and we discovered that the rate of injury and pain associated with it decreased significantly. 

 

This 3-month program is meant to help you bring the body back into balance to create better efficiency through improved flexibility, better joint integrity increased strength and better balance. 

There are two different plans. The Corrective plan includes everything that's in the basic plan. You can enroll in either plan via the links below. 

BASIC-$99 MONTHLY

The basic program is a one on one online coaching program for those individuals that need to balance out the body for less pain and better running efficiency.  You'll get a custom built workout for YOUR body to match your goals and improve your overall fitness level.

  • Dumbells of various weight, or an adjustable set

  • An exercise ball (Swiss ball)

  • An exercise mat

  • A foam roller

CORRECTIVE-$150 MONTHLY

The Corrective plan is the real deal. You get the custom training from the basic program and much more. If you've ever had a diagnosed injury we will apply a corrective program to help maximize your recovery and get you back to efficient running.  Not to mention great information about improving sleep and how that can accelerate your progress.
